How to Have a Better School Year

Everyone’s back in school! New year, new friends, maybe even new school? Whatever the case, we all want to have a good school year that we can look back to with a smile on our face.  That’s the reason I’m giving you a few tips on how to have a better school year!

Tip #1: Make a schedule

Face it, some of us forget what we had for breakfast this morning. And it’s awful when you forget you had to be somewhere someplace sometime. It worse when you forgot to do your homework. To keep that from happening, it’s always a good idea to make a schedule. But beware of packing it too tight with chores and duties, you also deserve some rest now and then.

Tip #2: Go to Sleep Early

Early to bed, early to rise! That sayings is pretty true. No matter how tempting it may be to watch Netflix till midnight, it will improve your grades (and mood) if you go to bed early. It’s better to be well rested than grumpy all day.

Tip #3: Wake Up at a Good Time

So if you go to bed early, you’ll be able to wake up earlier too. This means you’ll have time to make your bed and eat your breakfast without rushing for fear you’ll be late.

Tip #4: Keep Your Stuff Organized

It will make your life a whole lot easier if you keep your backpack, locker, room, and closet organized. None of us like not being able to find the right shirt, not being able to find our pencil, or not knowing where on earth our homework is! To save yourself the trouble, keep your life organized!

Tip #5: Look at the Bright Side

It’s tough to look at the bright side of life when you missed the bus, forgot your homework, and couldn’t even have breakfast. Then, bam! you forgot to study for the science test. Bad days happen to all of us, there are subject we totally dislike, but if we keep a positive attitude we’ll have better results. Making yourself think you love something you dislike (like math) will actually help you start enjoying it. (And have better grades!)

Tip #6: Don’t Procrastinate

This will save your life. Never, ever, ever, procrastinate. If you really want to watch a movie on Netflix but still have a ridiculous amount of homework to finish, then do your homework first. It won’t get done by itself. And the movie will still be there tomorrow. This will make a big difference in your school year.

Those are my tips for having a better school year. Hope you found them helpful! Have an awesome rest of the week.
