An Infamous Army by Georgette Heyer – Book Review

Hey everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I decided to do another book review for you. So today I’ll be reviewing An Infamous Army, by Georgette Heyer.

Rating: 4 Stars

Category: Historical Novel

Audience: 15+

An Infamous Army relates the story of Colonel Charles Audley and Barbara Childe at the brim of the war between England and France. It is also a historical novel which relates the war at Waterloo between the Duke of Wellington and Bonaparte as a subplot. It is the fourth book in the Alistair-Audley series. In some parts Barbara was somewhat exasperating, since she didn’t realise what she truly wanted in life, but the story came to a happy ending! The story unfolds satisfactorily and let me just say, it is worth the read. Overall I give it four stars. Not because I did not enjoy it, but because it was a bit slow in some parts. But I do recommend it as a must-read to all those historical novel fans. So if you really want to get into the historical frenzy, I highly recommend this book. To all Georgette Heyer fans, this is a must read. However, if this is your first Georgette Heyer book you want to read, I suggest you read one of her other stand alone-books, such as The Grand Sophie, first.

Hope you enjoyed! Due to spoilers concerning the other three books in the series, I wasn’t able to give a more detailed review. Thanks for reading!
