Five Dangers of Reading

Have you ever wondered if reading is bad for you? Can you actually get a reading addiction? Well, to relieve (or frighten?) your mind, I thought I would talk about five dangers of reading.

Danger #1: Anti-gravity Problems

Nope, you don’t have to go to space to experience the mystic science of anti-gravity. That’s right. Pick a book by an awesome author, say, Arthur Conan Doyle for instance, and you won’t be able to put the book down. Seriously? Who knew books had such anti-gravitational force, right? Just watch out, some of the heaviest books can be the toughest to put down.

Danger #2: Overthinking Purchases

Remember those shoes? Yeah, you should’ve treated yourself to them, but you couldn’t because you would rather spend that money on a book. Reading addictions are serious y’all. When addicted to books, you think every single purchase twice. Why? Because you could spend that money on a book! Be careful if you don’t want to fall into this pit.

Danger #3: Scrutinising Powers

If you read excessively, you’ll find yourself with the superpower of scrutinising people. Well, maybe you’ll call it a disadvantage instead of an advantage, but that depends on your personal opinion. When you read a lot, you find that you have the power of x-ray vision. You can see through a persons’ eyes, and you can deduce their looks, moods, and lives. Just be careful you don’t become too judgy.

Danger #4: Bag Issues

You have tons of cute bags but you cant use any of them because your books don’t fit in them! Who designed those things anyway? This is a serious danger of being a bookworm. If the book doesn’t fit, you can’t buy, or use the bag. All bookworms can probably relate to this. Please start buying bags that are big enough for books!

Danger #5: Forgotten Work

If you bought a book that got you hooked in a matter of seconds, your in big danger of forgetting all your work. These books are anti-gravity, ok, so don’t grab it unless you don’t have anything else to do. And by anything, I mean ANYTHING.  Before curling up with a book, finish all your duties. Trust me, I know all about this!

Hope this taught you a lesson on the dangers of reading! (BTW, that was comedy if you didn’t get it.) Have an awesome rest of the week, and drink some good coffee.
